Don Millar, CEO

Don combines a unique ability to communicate clearly and creatively on complex issues with award winning skills in the execution of issue advocacy advertising campaigns.  His client work has focused on companies such as the BC Transmission Corporation, EPCOR, InBev and MGM MIRAGE, public interest groups including the Canadian Boreal Initiative, League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club, as well as numerous universities.

Don also serves as a senior advisor to prominent public officials in Canada and the United States.  He frequently appears in the media as a commentator on environmental and political issues.

Mike Wilson, Vice President

Mike Wilson combines the ability to help clients improve their brand and message with solid project management skills.

As the senior staff person in FD Element’s Vancouver office, Mike’s client work has focused on Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, the BC Transmission Corporation, INBev, PowerUP Canada, and the Nature Trust of British Columbia.

Prior to joining FD Element Mike worked at Ipsos North America where he trained both market and advertising researchers.

Dan Giacomini, Senior Account Executive

Dan Giacomini works in our New York office, where he provides client services that focus on analysis and turning research into actionable recommendations and concise messages. Dan also coordinates the work of the FD Element Green Business Advisory Board.

Prior to joining FD Element Dan worked in the Communications and Public Relations department at Sims Metal Management, the largest publicly-traded scrap recycling company in the world.

Eric Hogan, Creative Director

Eric Hogan uses his wide-ranging story-telling skills to give creative direction to FD Element products. Working from our Vancouver office, he is also the lead producer of our television, online video and radio products.

Prior to joining FD Element Eric worked in journalism and public relations, including at Reputations Corporation where he managed the reputations of a number of high profile corporate, NGO and political clients.

Grant Draper, President

Grant Draper, President

Grant marries experience in the investment banking, political and environmental arenas with award-winning leadership in the effective use of the Internet to achieve public policy objectives. His client work has focused on companies such as AIG Global Marine, Coca Cola, EPCOR and MGM MIRAGE, public interest groups including American Rivers, the League of Conservation Voters and the Nature Trust of British Columbia, as well as numerous universities.

Prior to joining FD Element, Grant was a senior advisor to the Attorney General of New York and managed research and marketing for a private equity fund and an investment bank. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University.

Alexandra Kerry, Senior Vice President

Alex brings a unique creative perspective to her work for a range of FD Element clients, working with companies to define their identity with new forms of advertising in a range of mediums: designing and developing campaigns, creating video and film narratives, and devising online experiences. Her television experience includes work as part of the team that created the MTV hit "The Hills" and as a producer of the HBO documentary "Be Like Others." Her short film "The Last Full Measure" won several awards after its premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival.

Previous to FD, Alex served as a consultant to clients in publishing, art, social commentary, conflict resolution and on political campaigns working to enhance brand visibility, creative impact, and public relations. These projects included Peace One Day and Tar Siz publishing.

She is the author of the book "Notes from the Trail" about the 2004 presidential campaign and earned a B.A. from Brown University and an M.F.A. from The American Film Institute.

AJ Goodman, Assistant Vice President

AJ brings experience in media relations and strategy consulting for clients spanning across a variety of sectors and industries. His client work at FD has focused on Diageo, the world’s leading wine, spirits and beer company, and The Coca-Cola Company, providing counsel on social responsibility and sustainability reporting. He also provides counsel and support for The Canadian Americans Business Council, The Americas Business Council and PODER.

AJ previously worked at Brainerd Communicators and managed the PR and Media Relations for Siemens PLM Software, Live Nation, TMNG Global, PricewaterhouseCoopers Media and Entertainment and Retail and Consumer practices, Entravision, Spanish Broadcasting System, and HipCricket.

AJ began his career as an Associate at The Dilenschneider Group, where he helped manage the PR and publicity for CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo. He twice served as an Outside Event Participant at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, providing on-the-ground support for the company's clients that were attending the Forum.
